Introduction to the Program

Welcome to the Summer Abroad Program in Nerja, Spain! Cypress College presents this program through the North Orange County District (NOCCCD) in partnership with Leonardo World LLC. The Dean of Language Arts Division, Eldon Young, has been instrumental in offering this program to our Cypress College student population. This is an opportunity of a lifetime given to our students. It is our hope that you take advantage and be a participant of such a wonderful program.

This is the fifth time that students from Cypress College and from other institutions are participating in summer abroad programs at the same site under the coordination of Professor Olga M. Moran, a full-time spanish faculty member at Cypress College. The outcome has always been a fantastic life changing experience for the students! Nerja is so beautiful that many students return on their own to the same spot because they regard Nerja as a place that introduced them to the wonders of the Andalusian region.
