Daniel Lind is the chair of the Ethnic Studies Department and has been teaching at Cypress College since 2001.  His core teaching courses include: American Ethnic Studies, Introduction to African-American Studies, and African-American History I and II.

 

Professor Lind earned his bachelor’s degree in history and African-American studies from Bowdoin College, a master’s degree in African-American studies from Cornell University, and a second master’s degree in history from Claremont Graduate University.  He is also currently completing his doctorate in history from Claremont Graduate University, with concentrations in African-American history, American Social History, and Caribbean and Latin American history.

 

In addition to teaching for the Black Studies Learning Community, Professor Lind is also a mentor for the Puente program at Cypress.
