Michael Brydges began teaching at
Cypress College in the fall of 1998.

Mr. Brydges holds a Master's degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Intercultural Communication.  Along with teaching courses in Speech Communication, Mr. Brydges also is an Assistant Coach with the Cypress College Forensics (Speech and Debate) Team.  

Presently, Mr. Brydges is the PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) Coordinator and believes in the use of collaboration to help students learn.

As the past-President of Academic Senate, Mr. Brydges is active in several commitees including the President's Advisory Committee (PAC) on campus.

Mr. Brydges has been a strong advocate of the Black Studies program since its inception on this campus and continues to fight for funding to continue this much needed program.

In the past, Mr. Brydges has served on the Diversity Committee, been a
Mentor for the Puente Program, presenter for Staff Development, and a Cypress Idol.
