Cypress Notches Second Straight Win

Los Angeles, Calif. – The Chargers headed to Los Angeles Friday night in the first of two games at L.A. City. Cypress started the series off against Los Angeles Pierce and paced their way to a ten point victory 72-62. Freshman forward Devon McDonald put up his fourth double-double of the season with 14 rebounds and 12 points.
Freshman forward Sean Starkey led Cypress in scoring with 17 while also providing three blocks and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Khalif Boyd was right behind Starkey with 16 points going 6 for 11 from the field and also added three steals.
Cypress improves to 6-8 on the season and moves on to Saturday’s game against their toughest opponent thus far, host L.A. City. L.A. City is ranked fourth in Southern California and is boasting an 11-2 record. The Cubs are coming off of a 77-74 win over Cypress’s conference rival Irvine Valley. Cypress will face L.A. City Saturday night at 6:00 pm at L.A. City.
