Cypress Highlights: Came out strong in 2007-08 with five straight double-digit scoring games… was second on the team in scoring with 501 points… led the team in three-point field goals (91) placing himself fifth on the program’s season record list… also on the season record list for blocks in tenth place with 22… scored a season high 37 points against San Bernardino Valley to go along with 10 rebounds.
High School Highlights: Started his high school career at Mater Dei on the freshman then junior varsity team… transferred to Marina where he was a varsity reserve his junior season before starting his senior year… was an All-Sunset League First Team selection, an Orange County All-Star, Ocean View All-Star, and El Toro All-Star his senior year… averaged 19 points and seven assists per game.
Personal: Born on September 24th, 1987… parents are Sabrina and Kevin Starkey… Sister Alyssa plays on the Cypress women’s basketball team… majoring in kinesiology… interests include running and staying in shape.
