Cypress, Calif. – The Chargers hosted Cerritos Tuesday and were a little to gracious as they gave up three goals in a 0-3 loss to the Falcons. The Chargers just could not generate any offense to threaten Cerritos. Freshman goalie Giovanni Guzman was put to work making six saves.
Cerritos started with a goal at the fourteenth minute and then the 27th minute for the 2-0 lead at half. Cypress tried to mount a comeback but were unsuccessful as the Falcons scored again in the second.
Cypress’s record falls to 1-2-2. They have just one day off before hosting Cuyamaca. Cuyamaca is 1-1-1 and coming off of a 3-2 win over Citrus. The teams will face off Friday at Cypress at 3:00 pm.
