Chargers Take Their Third Win in a Row

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – Cypress is riding a win streak lately taking a 2-0 victory over Chaffey for their third straight win. The Chargers were able to generate a goal each half and shut out the Panthers. Freshman midfielder Gustavo Lua scored his first collegiate goal in the second half to seal the win.
The Chargers battled in the first half before finally scoring in the 38th minute as freshman forward Juan Razo earned the goal with an assist from freshman midfielder Edgar Mendoza. Cypress had the 1-0 lead through halftime and into the 65th minute before Lua gave Cypress the 2-0 lead with an assist from freshman midfielder Bernardo Munoz. Freshman keeper Cristian Delgado was in the net the majority of the game and picked up one save.
Cypress takes their streak to the College of the Desert next with no time off. Desert is 3-5-1 and coming off of a 4-2 win over Riverside. The Chargers and Roadrunners will face off Friday at 4:00 pm at College of the Desert.
