The Dons Outshoot the Chargers

Santa Ana, Calif. – Cypress was in for a tough match-up Friday traveling to Santa Ana looking for their first conference win. The historically dominant Dons lived up to their reputations handing Cypress a 9-2 loss. Freshman forward Jay Kinnear scored one of the two Charger goals.
Santa Ana’s offensive power was too much for the Chargers to handle as they gave up five goals in the first 65 minutes. Kinnear managed to score with an assist from freshman forward Christian Ortiz. It was Ortiz’s turn next as he scored the Chargers’ second goal.
Cypress stays on the road facing Orange Coast next. OCC is 5-4-1 and 1-1 in conference coming off of a 2-1 win over Santiago Canyon. The two face off at Orange Coast Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
