Cypress is Shutout at Irvine Valley

Irvine, Calif. – Cypress headed to Irvine Valley Friday hoping for an upset win but were disappointed heading home with a 0-2 loss. The first place Lasers held off the Cypress offense in the shut out. Freshman goalie Giovanni Guzman played all ninety minutes making six saves.

The third place Chargers will regroup now for another tough match-up Tuesday facing the first place Dons of Santa Ana at home. Santa Ana is 6-1-1 in conference and is coming off of a 2-1 win over Golden West. The last time these teams met, Santa Ana won 9-2. The teams face off again Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Cypress.
