Chargers Overpowered at Santa Ana

Santa Ana, Calif. – The last time Cypress faced Santa Ana, the Chargers exacted an upset tie against the Dons. This time around, the favored Santa Ana squad had something to prove and did so defeating Cypress 6-0. Sophomore keeper Giovanni Guzman scored made eight saves on the day.

The first half started competitively with the Dons scoring just one goal. Santa Ana exploded in the second half scoring two more goals and then three all in the last fifteen minutes for their six goals.

Cypress falls to 3-10-4 and 0-6-3 in conference. Cypress has no time off heading to Fullerton to face the Hornets for the second time this season. The last time they met, the teams tied at two. This time Cypress will try to make a decisive win this time around at Fullerton on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
