Cypress Alumni Win National Championship
The Lubbock Christian University softball team did not exist last year, this was their first season of competition. The Lady Chaps quickly populated their team with talent including four Cypress alumni, Marissa Gonzales, Gabrielle Woody, Jade Espinoza, and Sabrina Hernandez. (more)
Charger Season Ends in Defensive Showdown
The Chargers entered their fourth game of the State Championship tournament Saturday afternoon facing off against the number one seed in the north Sacramento City as both played to extend their seasons for at least one more game. Cypress outhit Sacramento City but could not bring in a run stranding five runners on base as they lost 1-0 ending their 2008 season. (more)
Strong Early Showing Keeps Cypress Alive
After a tough loss Friday afternoon, Cypress had to bounce right back Saturday without any room for error. The Chargers faced off against San Jose to start the day and came out strong with an 8-2 showing to move on to the next round of action. (more)
